In July 2023, the Bezos Earth Fund announced a $400 million commitment to partnering with local community groups across the U.S., rejuvenating urban spaces in underserved communities, ensuring more parks, trees, and community gardens. Our goal is to not just beautify, but to bring tangible health, environmental, and societal benefits to these areas.
Launched with an initial funding round of $50 million for community-driven projects in and around Albuquerque, Atlanta, Chicago, Los Angeles, and Wilmington, our initiative plans to expand its reach through 2030. This session will highlight existing investments and the need and opportunity in other communities around the United States.
