Details

How can we prevent the next conflict over fish? Pushed by rising temperatures and changing ocean cycles, over half of the world’s fish populations are likely to leave their historic habitats by the end of the century. As fishing grounds shift, reliance on the oceans for food increase, and maritime borders move with sea level change, experts expect the number of conflicts over fish to rise. Foreign Policy and the Walton Family Foundation will host a live podcast taping at COP28 on the topic, which will be featured on Season 3 of The Catch, a podcast on global fisheries.
