Landscapes for water – Scaling up locally-led climate action

Friday, December 8, 2023
13:30 - 14:30

Theme

Water and Natural Ecosystems

Details

Local communities are on the frontlines of climate change impacts, but often they do not have a voice in decision-making that affects them. In this session we will guide the participants through the flow of water, starting from the mountains and finishing our journey in the mangroves by the coast. We will showcase best-practices, tools, and local initiatives that strengthen climate action and water resilience, followed by a discussion on how they can be upscaled and more systematically incorporated into global and national processes. Hosted by: Alliance for Global Water Adaptation (AGWA) Australia Water Partnership Stockholm International Water Institute (SIWI) The Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO)
